Native Plant Steward Donna Gleisner will give participants the inside scoop on the native plants we find at Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary. She can tell us a bit of how the original peoples used these plants and what niche they have in the wetland ecosystem.

We encourage you to come and participate ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE AND AWAY FROM THAT FOOTBALL GAME! A wonderful alternative opportunity for the family!

When: January 26, 2003 from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m..

Where: Meet at the Narbeck Wetland Outdoor Classroom (Natural amphitheater (follow trail through viewing shelter). (See Map Page for directions to Narbeck).

Bring:  Dress appropriate to the weather. Bring a notebook, camera and magnifying glass if you can.

RSVP:  Just show up!

Please remember to visit our "Become A Friend" page. As greenhouse and Park activities continue, we'll need more interested supporters of the environment to help care for plants, assist with tours and perform cleanup and monitoring duties. It's a great opportunity, right in your backyard!
